【Call for Participants】The 44th Yokohama International Piano Concert

Tuesday, 30 September 2025

The Yokohama International Piano Concert was launched in 1982 by a planning committee composed of leading Japanese musicians and the City of Yokohama. Its purpose is to discover promising talented pianists from around the world and bring them to the attention of a wider audience. This is indeed in accordance with Yokohama, a city which has always welcomed and introduced new cultures since long ago. To date, around 200 Japanese and foreign pianists have performed at this event, many of whom have become world-renowned virtuosos, proving the significant role the event has been played. To perform at the Yokohama International Piano Concert has become a goal for young pianists worldwide.
In 2026, the concert will take place at the Main Hall of the Yokohama Minato Mirai Hall as with 2025. We thus call for the participants in the 44th Yokohama International Piano Concert from all around the world.
